Warren borders Bridgewater, so our showroom is about ten minutes from most of the township. The Second Watchung Mountain runs through Warren east to west, with Washington Valley on the south side of the ridge and the Mount Bethel and Union Village areas to the north, so the drive moves around a few minutes depending on which side you are on.
Warren is almost entirely owner occupied, close to ninety percent, and the typical home is considerably larger than what we see in the towns east of here. Households average about three people and the housing stock reflects it.
Two things follow from that. First, square footage. A whole first floor in Warren is a bigger job than a whole first floor in most of Somerset County, so it is worth measuring carefully before anyone quotes you a number. Second, people stay. Warren has had steady ownership for decades, which means a lot of what we are asked to do is replacing floors that went in twenty or thirty years ago rather than finishing new construction.
The ridge matters too. Homes built into the slope on either side of the Watchungs often have split levels, walk-out lower levels, and stair runs that are longer than they look. Stairs are the single most common thing people underestimate when they are guessing at a flooring budget.
Hardwood comes up more in Warren than anywhere else we serve, and it makes sense in homes at this level. It lasts decades, it can be refinished instead of replaced, and it holds its look in the formal spaces that larger homes actually have.
We carry Bruce, Mirage, Kährs, IndusParquet, Ferma and Expert by Elias Wilf, and we hold accounts with most major manufacturers, including Mannington. If you have a species or a finish in mind that is not on that list, ask. We can usually get it.
Hardwood is ordered for your job rather than pulled off a shelf, so bring your timeline into the conversation early and we will tell you honestly what is realistic.
More on hardwood
Bedrooms and stairs are where carpet does most of its work here, and in a house with a long stair run on a sloped lot that is not a small part of the job. Measure the stairs before you budget.
We stock carpet in Bridgewater so you can see it at full size. Shaw Lantern Bay is our heaviest in-stock carpet at 40 oz, and the color runs all the way through the fiber on that one, so it holds up to sun and cleaning better than most.

Vinyl plank earns its place in the parts of the house that take abuse. Lower levels, mudrooms off the garage, laundry rooms, and anywhere a walk-out opens onto a yard. It is waterproof and it comes in long planks, so a big span reads as one floor instead of a grid of seams.
We stock COREtec Pro Classics and Shaw Optimum, both available now rather than on order.

Measuring is free and there is no charge for someone to come out. We will walk the rooms, measure the stairs properly, and give you an itemized number covering material and labor so you can see what is driving the price.
Yes. Free in-home estimates anywhere in the township. Warren borders Bridgewater, so it is roughly a ten minute drive from our showroom.
Yes. Larger homes are a normal part of what we quote. The honest advice is to have the whole floor measured at once even if you are doing it in stages, because it changes how material is ordered and usually saves money.
Hardwood, laminate and tile are special order. Most orders arrive in three to four business days once the mill has the material. Carpet and vinyl plank we stock are available now.
